Turner students remember 9/11 with moment of silence

September 20, 2017

Students and Staff gathered at the flag pole on Monday, September 11th, the exact date that marked the anniversary of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, that killed 2,977 people in New York, the Pentagon and in a field in rural Pennsylvania. Although this gathering appeared to be a bit emotional to those who remember the date, students were very moved by a moment of silence followed by singing of the National Anthem led by Mrs. Michelle Keller. Four high school boys raised the flag and then lowered it to half mast in respect to those who lost their lives. These four boys, part of the Student Council, helped organize the gathering at the flag pole on September 11th. They are Ethan Heilig, Clayton Krass, Eddie Harmon, and Cody Welsh. God Bless this great nation! Together we stand.
