The Turkey Shoot will be held on Sunday, October 29th, beginning at 12:00 noon, at the Turner Trap. Everyone is welcome. The American Legion Post #109 is sponsoring this event.

Poinsettia orders are being taken now by the Turner WELCA. 6.5” pots available in Red, White, or Pink. Orders must be in no later than October 27. Contact Kirsti Cederberg at 379-2387 or Anita Reed at 379-2326. Cost is $15.00 each. All proceeds will be given to our local Blaine County Food Banks.

Junior High boys and girls basketball teams will have games this week at home in Turner. Friday, October 27, St. Jude Thaddeus comes to Turner at 4:00 and 5:15. On Oct. 28, Turner plays Box Elder and Chinook in Turner at a Jamboree, Turner games are 9:00/10:15 vs. Box Elder and 2:00/3:15 vs. Chinook.

Sandy Beck attended the Harlem Lutheran Church dinner on Sunday and reported it was delicious!

The Halloween Carnival will be October 31st from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Old Gym. Please come for an evening of fun, food, and prizes. Bingo will be held at the Legion Hall this year with food available. We are hoping everyone will enjoy the quieter atmosphere and more room to play. Hope to see you all there!

Sandy Beck, Dennis and Dixie Roseleip, Aaron VanValkenburg, and Fred Mohar helped Sylvia Mohar celebrate her birthday on Friday.

Anita and Bridget Reed attended the Volleyball games in Harlem on Friday night vs. Wolf Point, and on Saturday, Anita, Lucas, and Bridget Reed and Hilary Richman attended the volleyball games vs. Poplar to watch Brooke and all the Lady Wildcats.

Loretta Beck went to Great Falls on Tuesday and enjoyed lunch with Laura Sherwood while in town.

Dave and Teresa Cornell traveled to Billings this weekend to attend their grandson Danial Cornell’s 3rd birthday party.

The Hogeland Lutheran Annual Turkey Dinner and Bazaar will be held on Sunday, Nov. 5. The bazaar opens at 11:30 a.m. The dinner will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Turkey dinner with all the trimmings will be served. Come out and enjoy a wonderful meal!

Loretta Beck attended a baby shower for Briana Warren on Sunday at the Hogeland Lutheran Church.

Sandy and Chad Beck went to Billings on Monday to look at a new car. Sandy stayed through Tuesday, as she had a medical appointment.

Anita Reed took Jane and Harlan Krass to Great Falls on Tuesday for Jane’s second hand surgery.

On Sunday after church, Crystal, Cassidy, Holly, Cooper, and Lucy Grabofsky came over and had pancakes with Grandma and Grandpa at the Wallace Beck home.

The American Legion Auxiliary of the Big Flat is in the process of setting up a wall of local (Turner and Hogeland) Veterans that ARE NOT MEMBERS OF THE AMERICAN LEGION. We are looking for photos (preferably in uniform) of our local veterans. If you or a family member would like to be included on our wall, please send your 5x7 photo (they will not be returned) and information including years of service and branch served in to: PO Box 142; Turner, MT 59542. We are looking for National Guard and Reserve as well. We would like the pictures and information by Dec. 1, 2017. For more information you can contact Kirsti Cederberg at 379-2387.

Loretta Beck and Merrilyn Billmayer attended a Lipsense party at Brenda Maloney’s home on Wednesday evening.

Susan Billmayer hosted the Jumping Juniper Garden club at her home on Thursday for lunch and a meeting.

Susan and Emily Billmayer attended the birthday party in Chinook on Thursday evening for Zyon Silva.

Emily and Susan Billmayer were in Glendive over the weekend for a garden club meeting.
