Lincy Johnson, Acting Secretary

October 19th, 2017

Vice President Rebecca Stroh called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. on October 19th, 2017 at the Meadowlark School Cafeteria. There were 13 members, 3 leaders, and 3 guests present.

As the past secretary has decided not to enroll in 4-H again this year and we have not yet elected officers we had no minutes to read. Minutes from notes will be typed and ready for the next meeting. No treasurer’s report is available.

We had no committee reports. Under unfinished business, premium checks were recently released to the club treasurer and may be ready for members by next meeting. End of year treasurer report is due to the Extension office by the end of the month. Additionally, member and leader enrollment is due to the extension office or online by October 27th so project books can be ordered.

New business included discussing club’s responsibilities (table decorations, setting up, and door prizes) for Achievement Night which will be held on November 12th, 2017 at the Blaine County Fairgrounds Commercial Building. Lincy Johnson moved for each family to create one table decoration each using the wooden clovers club members decorated last year. Motion was seconded by Katie Tilleman. Motion carried. Bobbi will provide a clover to the Tilleman family.

The Club decided to form a committee to put together two door prizes for

Achievement Night. Jamie Berreth volunteered to be the adult leader and members involved include Rebecca Stroh, Gus Buck, Hayden Berreth, Ethan Klingaman, Mia Berreth, Charlie Buck, Katie Tilleman, Daniel Tilleman, Grace Buck, Emma Klingaman, and Micah Conner. Micah made a motion to set a $10 price limit for each basket and Mya seconded it. Motion carried. We will meet at the commercial building at 1:30pm on November 12th for our next meeting as well as to set up for Achievement Night. It was decided to table election of officers until that time as many of the older members were not able to be present. We will also draw for secret Santa gifts at that time.

Emma Klingaman gave a report on Officers’ Training. Lincy moved to adjourn the meeting and Ethan Klingaman seconded it. Motion carried.

No demonstrations were given.

Thank you to Grace, Gus, and Charlie Buck for hosting the meeting.

Our next gathering will be on November 12th, 2017 at 1:30pm at the Blaine County Fairground Commercial Building. Following our meeting we will set up for Achievement Night and attend the program.
