November 8, 2017

Plan to attend the 26th annual Hassle Free Christmas Program at the library November 28th at 7:00 p.m. As always, we will have presentations, the Bell Choir will perform and we will have plenty of delicious food to eat!

Middle School Hangout for November is scheduled for Monday November 13th from 3:30 to 5:00. It is open to students in grades 6 through 8. LEGO Club will be Thursday November 16th from 3:30 to 4:30 and is open to kids in grades K-6.

In the Heart of the Sea will be the movie today at 1:00 p.m. in the library meeting room. It is rated PG-13 and running time is 2 hours. Everyone is welcome to attend and refreshments will be served. A Time to Dance will be November 15th. We are showing the movies with closed captioning whenever possible. Hopefully this will encourage those who may have difficulties hearing the movies to attend.

New fiction books ready for checkout this week are “Quick and Dirty” by Stuart Woods and “Blind Spot” by Dani Pettry. We also have two non-fiction books available this week. “An American Family” by Khizr Khan. Khan is the Muslim American Gold Star father and captivating DNC speaker and this book is the story of his family’s pursuit of the American dream. “Finding Gobi” by Dion Leonard is the amazing, true story of a little dog with a big heart.

This week’s line from “Life’s Little Instruction Book” #68: Be Brave. Even if you’re not, pretend to be. No one can tell the difference.

There is always something going on at the library. Check us out on Facebook or look us up on our website at http:www.blainecountylibrary.org for up to date information about what’s going on!
