The Library Board and Staff are preparing for the 26th annual Hassle Free Christmas Program,November 28th at 7:00 p.m. in the library meeting room. As always, we will have presentations, the Bell Choir will perform and we will have plenty of delicious food to eat!

A Time to Dance will be the movie today at 1:00 p.m. in the library meeting room. It is not rated and running time is 86 minutes. Everyone is welcome to attend and refreshments will be served. The Monuments Men will be November 22nd. We are showing the movies with closed captioning whenever possible. Hopefully this will encourage those who may have difficulties hearing the movies to attend.

November is Native American Heritage Month. Kelsey has put together a selection of Native American history and fiction books for the display table.

The Glass Castle and War for the Planet of the Apes are new movies ready for checkout this week. New fiction books available this week are "In the Midst of Winter" by Isabel Allende, "The Ninth Hour" by Alice McDermott and "The Midnight Line" by Lee Child. "What Unites Us: Reflections on Patriotism" by Dan Rather is a non-fiction book ready to go this week. At a moment of crisis over our national identity, venerated journalist Dan Rather has emerged as a voice of reason and integrity, reflecting on-and writing passionately about-what it means to be an American. As a living witness to historical change, he offers up an intimate view of history, tracing where we have been in order to help us chart a way forward and heal our bitter divisions. With a fundamental sense of hope, "What Unites Us" is the book to inspire conversation and listening, and to remind us all how we are, finally, one.

Middle School Hangout for November is scheduled for Monday November 13th from 3:30 to 5:00. It is open to students in grades 6 through 8. LEGO Club will be Thursday November 16th from 3:30 to 4:30 and is open to kids in grades K-6.

This week's line from "Life's Little Instruction Book" #99: Think big thoughts, but relish small pleasures.
