The American Legion Auxiliary of the Big Flat is in the process of setting up a wall of local (Turner and Hogeland) Veterans that are not members of the American Legion. They are looking for photos, preferably in uniform, of the local veterans. If you or a family member would like to be included on the wall, please send a 5x7” photo and information including years of service and branch to Kirsti Cederberg, P.O. Box 142, Turner, MT 59542. They are looking for National Guard and Reserve as well. The photos will not be returned so be aware of that when you send in photos. These photos are suggested to be turned in to the above address no later than December 1st, 2017. If you need more information, please call Kirsti Cederberg at 379-2387.

There will be Turkey Bingo November 19th beginning at 2:00 p.m.. at the Turner Old Gym. This is sponsored by the Turner Pep Club.

Glenna Ammen enjoyed attending basketball games in both Hays and Havre this past weekend.

Last weekend, Val Van Voast spent the weekend attending MT SWO meetings in Clancy, MT. There were eight women in attendance at the home of Lin Olsen. They were blessed to sit inside by her fireplace as the snow fell outside. Much progress was made on plans for Women of the ELCA Gathering in Townsend in September of 2018.

Tammy Jones was to Joplin this week to help care for her daughters who were both injured in an ATV accident. They are recuperating and both back home. Get Well wishes to them for a speedy recovery.

Gerald and Shirley Keller attended the ‘School Veteran’s Day program on Thursday.

Linda and Darel had lunch with Evan and Laura in Havre on Wednesday while in town for appointments.

Judy Hake of Hamilton visited with Bill and Mary Hake this week.

Decorating of the Turner ALC is planned for next Sunday, November 19th beginning at 9:00 a.m. Potluck dinner will be held after 11:30 church. They will also be collecting Thank Offerings during Church services. This offering goes to the Women of the ELCA church wide ministries.

Max and Kirsti Cederberg were to Great Falls Saturday where Kirsti took in a LPA continuing education class. While there, Max visited his Mother, Nellie.

They also took in the Veteran’s Day dinner and celebrated Lenny’s birthday on Sunday.

Gerald and Shirley Keller were to the Veteran’s Day dinner at the Legion Hall on Sunday.

There will be school in session this Friday at the Turner Public School. The Jr. High ball team will travel to Big Sandy for a 4:00 and 5:15 game.

There will be a Jamboree in Turner on Saturday with Turner’s games beginning at 9:00, 10:15, 2:00, and 3:15. There will also be a craft and gift show at the Old Gym all day that day. Come browse and do a little Christmas shopping in downtown Turner.

Gerald and Shirley Keller were to Great Falls on Saturday to watch their grandson, Kash, play basketball.

November is National Diabetes Awareness Month. Please keep those affected by this disease in your thoughts and prayers and pray for a Cure! Turner is designating Tuesday as a school wide awareness day, in honor of Brooke Reed who has dealt with this disease since she was a first grader.

The High School students who wish to play basketball will start practice on Thursday. All physicals must be on hand prior to the first day of practice. Good luck to these students and we all look forward to your games starting soon. Good Luck as you start your season.
