Chinook Senior Center

February 7, 2018

Well, the groundhog saw his shadow so we have 6 more weeks of winter. We will try to stay busy here at the center so it goes by fast. We have a lot planned this month, so let’s get started.

The movie this Wednesday in the library meeting room is “The Way We Were” with Barbra Streisand and Robert Redford. Popcorn will be served.

Bingo is played at 1 p.m. every Thursday. Last week’s jackpot winner was Virginia Olson.

On Friday, the Kitchen Band will be playing and there will be pinochle after lunch. We had 2 tables last week. They had a lot of fun. Myrla McCoy had the high score and Mike Randall had the low score.

The Public Card Party is set for Sunday, Feb. 11 at 1 p.m.

There will be no exercise class this week since Lauren is on a missionary trip to Mexico.

Monday, Feb. 12 is the Board of Directors meeting at 1 p.m. It is open to the public.

Shanghai Rummy starts at 1 p.m. every Tuesday. Last week’s winner was Mike Randall.

Wednesday, Valentine’s Day, is our special lunch. Please make sure to sign up early, so the cook knows how many to prepare for. You must call before 10 a.m. Whist will be played afterward at 1 p.m. and the Blaine County Library has a special “Lost Valentine” movie showing that day.

Thank you to Dwight and Jo Stevenson for the box of puzzles this week. They made quite a few seniors happy with the new selections.

Stop by and see us at the center… the coffee is always on!
