Turner sends basketball teams off to tournaments with pep rally

The Girls Basketball team was introduced by Coach, Jen Baird, and a few words were spoken about the team and their season. They are L-R: Assistant Coach, Darci Ammen, Melanie Watkins, Rylee Conlan, Sarah Billmayer, Raegan Conlan, Shyan Krass, Brandy Calvert, Brooke Reed, Laci Maloney, Lacey Hickel, Manager, Dakota Krass, and Head Coach, Jen Baird. The girls team ended up winning 3rd place at District and will advance this coming week to Divisionals. Congratulations to them as they head out to Great Falls. Fight hard and have a great time playing!
There was a pep assembly this past Wednesday prior to sending off both girls and boys basketball teams to their District 9C Tournament.
Community members, staff and students were invited to come send the kids off TORNADO STYLE prior to their first game of tournament play.
Pep Club adviser, Cindy Cowan, had a friendly competitive game between both teams and the girls were declared winners. The coaches, Mr. Zach Holland, and Jennifer Baird, introduced both teams, and spoke briefly about the players. There was a school spirit competition yelling of the "year cheer." The third grade students won. They will have their picture with the spirit stick at the next pep assembly. They were pretty thrilled!
The parents of both teams presented their child with a gift as a token of appreciation for the ball season. It was a fun assembly.
