Happy March to you! The new calendars are out, so be sure to stop and pick one up. We have lots of activities planned for you this month.
Be sure to mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 14 at 11:30 a.m. We have special guest Steve Edwards coming to talk about Mt. Rushmore and the Black Hills Trip he is hosting for seniors across the Hi-Line.
The Hallmark movie “Quigley Down Under,” starring Tom Selleck, will be shown Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the library meeting room. Popcorn will be provided. Next week, we will get to see “The Monuments Men.”
Whist is also on the docket for Wednesday afternoon. Old and new players can join in this fun card game.
We will be playing Bingo on Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. Ray Reid is back as caller! Last week’s Jackpot winner was Virginia Olson.
Friday, the Kitchen Band will be entertaining us and after lunch there will be Pinochle. Last week, Virginia Olson had high score and Lois Butcher had low score.
Monday, March 5 is the Foot Care Clinic. Call me if you need an appointment as they are almost full.
Our Strong People exercise class with Lauren LaMonica is scheduled for Monday at 10:30 a.m. This is a free class for seniors.
The Hearing Clinic with Pat Fournier will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.
Don’t forget… Shanghai Rummy is played every Tuesday afternoon.
A special thank you to the Marilyn Williamson for the outside thermometer so we can see how cold it is!
Other news includes the VITA Tax Clinic has been canceled due to federal cutbacks.
AARP is offering a Driver’s Safety Class on Wednesday, March 21. You will need to come down to the center to sign up for this.
We are having a raffle for the beautiful “Double Wedding Ring” quilt donated by the late Norma Wisch. It is on display here at the center. Tickets are 6 for $5 or $1 each. The drawing will be on St. Patrick’s Day. You can get tickets from me or Rochelle.
