Sugarbeeter Shout Out

June 6, 2018

As Chinook Public Schools concludes the 2017-18 school year and starts preparing our 2018-19 school year, there are several topics I would like to address with everyone: thank yous, staff placements, and gearing up for the fall.

Thank You

The Board of Trustees, Administration, Staff and students at Chinook Public Schools would like to thank you for taking part in the school elections and passing the levies. We will work to continue to be good stewards of our school funding in order to keep producing a high quality educational system.

A special thanks needs to go out to the Joshua Seymour family, the Chinook Assembly members, and all of the vast volunteers for the planning, presentation, various gifts, and luncheon they provided for teacher appreciation week. It was an inspiring get-together.

I would also like to thank all the the staff that worked at Chinook Schools this year. From bus drivers, custodians, kitchen staff, and office staff to teacher’s aides, teachers and principals, we have a terrific group of individuals who put the education and needs of students first.

Staff Placements

As far as staffing goes in both the elementary and high school, we are working diligently to finalize placements of teachers in grade levels and art. As the summer progresses, we will have more information to share with everyone. At this time, we are still looking for an assistant high school football coach as well as two junior high football coaches. Please contact me if you are interested.

Gearing up for Fall

During the summer, Chinook Schools will update our classroom lists as well as prepare our various activity programs. We will publish and send out the needed information for the fall as soon as we traverse the many summer preparations.
