If you are looking for a thriller, we have quite a few new books to choose from this week. “Paradox” by Catherine Coulter delves into the terrifying mind of an escaped mental patient obsessed with revenge in this next installment of her riveting FBI series. When he fails to kidnap five-year-old Sean Savich, agents Sherlock and Savich know they’re in his crosshairs and must find him before he continues with his ‘kill’ list. In “Spy Master” by Brad Thor, a secret organization has begun attacking diplomats across Europe. Back in the United States, a foreign ally demands the identity of a highly placed covert asset. In the balance hang the ingredients for all-out war. With his mentor out of the game, counterterrorism operative Scot Harvath must take on the role he has spent his career avoiding. But, as with everything else he does, he intends to rewrite the rules—all of them. “Believe Me” by JP Delaney is a twisty psychological thriller. Claire is a struggling actress, a Brit in America without a green card, who needs work and money to survive. Then she gets both, but nothing like she expected. A young woman returns to her childhood summer camp to uncover the truth about a tragedy that happened there fifteen years ago in “The Last Time I Lied” by Riley Sager. A woman searches for the mother she hasn’t seen in twenty years, and uncovers a nightmare of greed and deception in the riveting page turner “Liar, Liar” by Lisa Jackson.
