We have three non-fiction books and three fiction books ready for checkout this week. “In Pieces” is the new biography by Sally Field. “We Fed an Island” by Chef Jose Adres is the true story of rebuilding Puerto Rico, one meal at a time. “This is the Way the World Ends” by Jeff Nesbit explains how droughts and die-offs, heat waves and hurricanes are converging on America. “Depth of Winter” by Craig Johnson is the latest Longmire book. “Lethal White” by Robert Galbraith is a Cormoran Strike novel. “In His Father’s Footsteps” by Danielle Steel tells the story of two World War II concentration camp survivors, the life they build together, and the son who faces struggles of his own as a first generation American determined to be his own person and achieve success. New movies this week are Ocean’s Eight and Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom.

Plan to join us for the first get together of our book club on October 15th at 7:00 p.m. in the library meeting room. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The movie today will be “Secretariat” at 1:00 p.m. in the library meeting room. Everyone is welcome to attend and refreshments will be served. “The Stray” will be the movie next Wednesday.

Story Time is Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Kids of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend. Middle School Hangout, for kids in grades 6-8 is held on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. LEGO Club is Thursday afternoons from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and is open to kids in grades K-6. Younger kids are welcome to attend with an adult.
