Terry M. Savage, 55, passed away peacefully at Peace Hospice Great Falls on the morning of January 22 due to critical burns sustained while welding on a fence on December 20, 2018.

Terry was born September 9, 1963. He was the son of Mark and Frances (Bosch) Savage. He was raised along the Bullhook creek bottom below Saddle Butte southeast of Havre.

He attended Havre Public Schools graduating in 1982. As a youth, he participated in softball and inter-mural basketball. He was a 9 year member of the Mountain View 4-H club enrolling in sheep and market beef projects.

At age 15, he took summer jobs helping neighbors and friends with cattle, fencing and haying. It was this work that became his passion which led him to choose a lifelong career as a ranch hand. Upon graduation, he spent many years working in south Blaine County which included the Lloyd and Lone Tree Bench area. Some of his most valued friendships were acquired while working in the South Country. He later worked on ranches in Montana including Ryegate, & Moore. Then in Casper WY, Sand Springs WY, and Sheridan WY where he was currently employed with David Kane in Decker, MT, since 2013.

Terry married Camia Edwards on January 26th, 2001 in Chinook. From this union came 2 wonderful children, daughter Skylyr, and son Marshall. Terry described Skylyr and Marshall as his greatest accomplishments. Nothing brought more joy to Terry than his two wonderful children.

Terry was a simple, honest, hardworking man. He enjoyed all aspects of the great outdoors including hunting, fishing, camping and brandings. He loved country music, country dances, and rodeos. He was always up for a good game of cards or dice. Terry was a jokester and loved a good laugh.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, 2 cousins, and 5 uncles. Father in Law Marvin Edwards.

He is survived by his wife Camia, his children Skylyr and Marshall and mother-in-law Cherie Edwards all of Chinook. A sister, Jo Lynn Savage of Havre, 2 aunts and numerous cousins. Along with Special Family friend and former boss, John Moore of Lewistown.

A Celebration of Life was held Friday, January 25th at 11:00am at Edwards Funeral Home. He was laid to rest in the Alice Nash Cemetery at Lone Tree Bench. Memorials donations can be made to Northern Colorado Medical Center - Western State Burn Center.
