The 70th annual Montana Seed Show pie baking competition is going to be held at Harlem High School. We will be taking pie entries on Friday March 15 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. There will be an adult and a youth division. Prizes in the adult division are 1st-pottery pie plate and $400.00 cash from the R.T.”Bob” Rasmussen Memorial,2nd $300.00 donated by Columbia Grain, 3rd $200.00 donated by Harlem Lumber, 4th $100.00 donated by Bank of Harlem. Youth 1st place will be $75.00, 2nd $50.00, and 3rd $25.00. Everything is to be homemade, no pre-made crusts or fillings, all pies must have a top crust. For a full list of rules Seed Show books can be obtained at the Blaine, Phillips, or Hill County Extension offices, Clothing Company, Bank of Harlem or Richman Insurance in Harlem.
