Corrine MeChance passed away with family by her side on May 2, 2019 at the Northern Montana Hospital in Havre MT. She passed quietly and went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Corinne was born August 2, 1951 in Fort Belknap, Montana to August "Tim" MeChance and Josephine MeChance(Weasel).

Corrine moved to Great Falls, MT, where she met her husband Charles Rising Sun and they had two daughters, Josie Dawn and Sara(Carmen). Eventually, Corrine moved back to FT. Belknap MT, and joined the Fry Bread Fellowship with Pastor Bruce Plummer. She enrolled in Bible Studies at their institute and graduated with a three- year certificate with Echo Ministries in May 2017. She was with Echo Ministries for 12 years. She traveled several times to San Luis, Mexico for missionary work. She adopted Manrique, a little boy she met upon her visits to Mexico in the Indian way. She also adopted Sheldon Wuttunee along with many others nieces and nephews too numerous to name. She had several hobbies of which was doll collecting, particularly oriental dolls.

She is survived by her sister Karol Black Hawk of Billings MT, brother Alvin Weasel of Omaha NE, daughter Sara Opsahl, grandchildren Mike, Mike Jr., and Andrea all of Missoula MT, her niece Faith Justice of Aberdeen SD, nephew Wayne Birdtail of Aberdeen SD, cousins Rick Weasel, Bow Horn Weasel, Michael Weasel, Bernadette Weasel, Pamela Weasel, and Gina Weasel all of Ft. Belknap MT.

She Preceded in death by both parents, August & Josephine, daughter Josie Dawn, brother Stuart, maternal grandparents Millard & Roise Weasel, paternal grandparents Baptiste & Georgine MeChance, niece Jani Mercado, nephew Winchell, great-nephew Chance Mercado, and grandson Baby Opshal, aunt & uncle Ruth & Louis Lamere and aunt & uncle Richard & Georgine Weasel.

She leaves behind a message for all of her loved ones, family, friends, relatives and acquaintances, I love you all and we will see you all in heaven!
