Newel Kay Alcorn

Newel Kay Alcorn, 74 (Nute) passed away at his home in Great Falls on Saturday March 23rd, 2019 of natural causes.

Newel was born Feb. 8, 1945 in Harlem Mt to Clark & Evelyn Alcorn, the fourth of five children.

He worked for many years for the Rio Grande Railroad out of Salt Lake City UT, as a break man. In the earlier part of 1965 he was drafted into the Marines and served in Vietnam. After returning to the states he drove Semi Trucks.

In 1977 he operated and owned a feed mill in Conrad MT. He spent several years traveling in Europe. He married Penny Hicks and they had daughter named Cassandra (Casey).

Newel is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Penny and his sister Janamay Krass.

He is survived by his sisters Cleone Curtis and Lanae Glenn, a brother David Alcorn and his daughter Cassandra.

A grave side service will be held on the 25th of May at 2:00pm at the Harlem Cemetery.
