The Aero Bar served as a gathering spot for many decades. Located on the west side of Indiana street on the 200 block it was a fixture within the community.
In January of 2019 ownership changed hands with JoAnne and JD Powell taking over. They soon changed the name to the Bear Paw Saloon and began work on upgrading and modernizing the establishment.
The couple had long wanted to open a bar and when this opportunity came along they were all in. With the idea being to attract a larger crowd, the thought of hosting ‘Open Mic’ nights, bands and other events was at the center of their remode...
