Harlem All Class Reunion set to celebrate 100 Years

The Harlem High School All Reunion is finally here with three days of fun scheduled for this weekend. 'Celebrating 100 Years of Harlem Alumni' the fun will get started Friday morning with registration taking place from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Clothing Company.

There will be a hospitality room set up at the Little Rockies Senior Center from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. for those who arrive early to gather and visit. Also happening Friday afternoon will be the opportunity for Harlem Alumni to take a trip down 'Memory Lane' by stopping by the Harlem Library.

The kids will be entertained during the day by the Bouncy Houses that will be set up on Main Street to occupy the youngsters. There will also be a 3 on 3 Basketball tournament Friday afternoon for local youth to take part in.

Up and coming basketball players, grades 3-6 will put their skills to the test at the Harlem Elementary Courts beginning at 3:00 p.m. sharp.

Some great family fun will get underway in the evening with a BBQ Dinner being served from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on the lawn of Harlem High School.

When the sun goes down the fun doesn't end. From 8:00 p.m. - Midnight the school will be open for alumni to wonder the halls, revisit old memories, check out changes to the school and create some new memories reconnecting with classmates and catching up.

Following the BBQ Dinner there will be a Reunion Alumni School Dance in the Harlem High School Little Gym. Class pictures will be available during the dance in front of the CAT in the big gym.

The fun gets started bright and early Saturday morning with a Fun Walk/Run that begins at 7:00 a.m. Funds raised through the Fun Run/Walk will benefit the Harlem Food Bank, The Harlem Civic Association and the Harlem High School Track.

The Harlem High School TSA and FFA Clubs will host a breakfast at the Harlem High School shop from 8:00 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Registration will again take place Saturday morning from 10:00 am., to 12:00 p.m. at the Clothing Store on Main Street.

Alumni are encouraged to stop by the Hospitality Room at the Little Rockies Senior Center between 10 a.m. and Noon to find out the locations for class get-togethers from Noon to 1:00 p.m.

From Noon to 4:00 p.m. there will be a Classic Car Show at the North End of Main Street and will surely attract some interesting vehicles.

Also taking place on the north end of main street will be a Brewfest. Theses types of events have proven to be very successful lately and surely you don't want to miss this one. Stop by, enjoy a beverage, if you are of age, and visit with some old classmates in town for the reunion.

Parade participants will begin lining up at 4:00 p.m. in the Harlem High School parking lot with the Parade set to make its way down main street from the New England Motel to Deb's Diner and then make its way back.

At 7:00 p.m. there will be a banquet featuring a style show and performances by local comedians and Harlem High School Alumni Kasey Nicholson and Chuck Mulluck.

Saturday will conclude with a dance being held at the old VFW building from 9:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m.. Alibi, a band out of Billings will provide live music for all to enjoy.

Also happening Saturday will be the Harlem High School 100 year Reunion Golf Tournament. This tournament will be a four person scramble and is being organized by Don Richman. Interested golfers should arrive at the course between 8:00 and 9:30 a.m. to register your team. Tee off will take place at 10:00 a.m. sharp.

At 9:00 a.m. a non-denominational church service will be held Sunday morning at the Harlem High School with a memorial service to follow at 9:45 a.m.

A brunch will be served in the High School Cafeteria from 10:00 a.m. - Noon.

Some old fashioned fun will take place at Centennial Park next to Harlem Lumber. A Horseshoe Tournament will be held, beginning at 11:00 a.m.

At 1:00 p.m. an adult 3 on 3 basketball tournament will be held at the Harlem High School courts.

The Harlem FFA will hold its Annual Trap Shoot at the shooting range north of town from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.

The Harlem High School 100 Year All Class Reunion will conclude with a pot luck Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. with location still to be determined. Call 406-353-4524 for more information.
