Wildcat runners off to a good start, win both races in Wolf Point

The Harlem Cross Country team turned in a stellar performance their first time on the course in the 2019 Cross Country season. The Wildcats were in Wolf Point running the Airport Golf Course with more than 90 athletes taking part.
The Wildcats took four boys and three girls to Wolf Point with the boys all finishing in the top 25 and the girls top 11.
The Wildcats swept the boys and girls races in getting the season off to a great start.
Senior Brad Cichosz dominated the boys field running away from his competitors to win easily with a time of 17:44.4. The runner up finisher, Zander Arckerman crossed the finish line in 18:30.0. Cochosz is an All-State runner who will certainly be among the favorites this fall
Senior L'Tia Lawrence was incredible Wednesday afternoon, completing her run a full minute and a half ahead of her nearest competitor in 19:59.6. Lawrence, an All-State runner in both Cross Country and Track and Field has her sights set on another run at the state meet.
For the girls, sophomore Taya Trottier and freshman Amilia Blackcrow turned in solid efforts as well.
Trottier finished third, finishing the 5 Kilometer race in 21:46.4 while Blackcrow was eleventh in her first high school competition, crossing the finish line in 25:31.6
On the boys side senior Truth Brockie finished fourteenth for the Wildcats with a time of 21:48.3. Sophomore Lance Blackcrow was 22nd for the Wildcats with a time of 23:08.1 while sophomore Titan Brockie finished 23 in 23:26.4.
The Wildcats will be back on the course this Friday at this Friday in Cut Bank looking to improve on a great start to the season.
