Big Flat 4-H Club reports on October Meeting

October 16, 2019

The October meeting of the Big Flat 4-H Club was held on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019, at the Turner Christian Church. Before our business meeting, we held a fun day to encourage potential new members to join. Blaine County Extension Agent, Juliann Snedigar, spoke about 4-H, the wide variety of projects that are available, expectations and the life-long benefits that it has to offer. Current members and leaders spoke about their projects and brought examples of what they have done in the past. Hilary Richman brought games that we all enjoyed, and we had snacks afterwards.

President Seth Schroder called the meeting to order. Roll call was the number of years you have been in 4-H. Hannah, Isabella, and Shannon Van Voast put up a poster at the Big Flat Grocery store for National 4-H Week. Enrollment is due by November 1. Achievement Day is Nov. 3 in Chinook. We are responsible to bring a veggie tray for Achievement Day. Shannon Van Voast will get that, and the club will reimburse her. Reeds and Richmans will get the gift certificates for door prizes.

Our next meeting will be held on Sunday, November 17. We will check the town Christmas decoration’s light bulbs at Reed’s shop at 2:00 p.m. The meeting and a potluck will be held afterwards at the Turner Christian Church.
