Turner Fire Department:

The students at Turner School received visitors from the Turner Volunteer Fire Department this past Thursday. The firemen came into the classrooms and told of some important fire safety rules, what to do in the case of a fire, changing batteries on your smoke detector, meeting places, etc. They also showed the children their uniforms and how to tell what kind of fire it is by the uniforms that they wear. The students enjoyed their visit and were able to ask questions. Thanks to the fellas of the Volunteer Department for taking the time to visit the children. They are : Bryan Ricci, Gavin Maloney, David Jones, Johannas Brown, Matt Grabofsky, and Garrett Maloney, and Zane Grabofsky who traveled along with the fellas as a Junior Firemen for the afternoon. Thanks to the volunteers of our area for their time and service to our community. There's a lot of time put into volunteer service such as training, etc. Thanks for helping our community!

Chinook Fire Department:

Several members of the Chinook Volunteer Fire Department took time out of their busy schedules to stop by the Meadowlark Elementary last week as the students were celebrating National Fire Prevention. This group of volunteers put on demonstrations regarding fire safety, prevention and what to do in case of a fire emergency. They were asked many questions by the students and did their best to answer all of them completely. The Fireman had lunch with the students and really enjoyed their visit to the school.
