Marilyn Joyce Hoag Gunnarson

Marilyn Joyce Hoag Gunnarson, 85, passed away at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls, MT on December 18, 2019,

A Funeral Service for Marilyn will be held on January 3rd, 2020, at 2:00pm at the Havre Assemblies of God Church, with a Viewing from 12:00pm- 2:00pm. Later she will be buried with her husband at the Oakwood Cemetery in Hardwood MT.

Marilyn was born on October 25, 1934 in Hardwood ND, to Veeder & Mildred Hoag. After graduating high school, Marilyn went to Moorhead State college and met her husband Marvin Gunnarson. They married on June 13, 1955 at the Moorhead Assembly of God Church. After which they both went to Central Bible Institute where Marilyn received her Missions Degree. In 1963 Marvin and Marilyn settled in Havre MT, had 4 children and many memories. Marilyn was very active in the church and community. She attended Assembly of god church and Four square for many years.

Marilyn also worked as a daycare provider, but she loved to serve others by, working with the elderly, Christian youth groups retreats, Fair Ministries for 22 years, working at the Salvation Army, and Havre Soup Kitchen.

She had a heart to serve others, both young and old. She loved hosting outings, and get togethers, and building meaningful relationships. She was passionate in her beliefs, with a strong faith in the Lord. She has touched many lives through out the years and is an irreplaceable member of the family church and community.

Marilyn is survived by her children Daryl (Roxann) of OH, Dean (Lisa) of WI, Dennis (Laura) of WA, and Susan of MT. Her Grandchildren Joel, Kyle, Ryan, Michelle, Cameron, Melissa, Greta, Kirsten, Isaac, Isabel, Mathew, Emily, Danielle, Nikki, Samantha, and Joshua. And Great Grandchildren Heidi, Clara, Luke, Ellie, Finn, Kingston, Reana, Esme, and Jericho.

She is preceded in death by her husband Marvin Gunnarson, and siblings Virginia, Vleck and Milton Hoag.
