Congratulations to Steve Leitner! He is the winner of the 2019 Reading Challenge drawing for the “Blast the Winter Blues” bag of gifts. There were nine people who completed the challenge to read at least 52 books last year.
Stop by the library to participate in this month’s passive program to compile of list of words that patrons think of to describe our library. At the end of the month we will use these words to make a library word cloud!
The Book Challenge for January is to read an ugly book!
During the month of January you may buy a grocery bag full of used books for only one dollar.
The children’s programming is back in full swing. Storytime for the little ones ages 0-5 and their parents/caregivers meets on Tuesdays at 10 A.M. for a time of stories, songs, activities and play. The After School Squad for elementary students is held on Wednesdays at 3:30 and includes stories, crafts and snacks!
Lego Club for all ages meets on Thursdays at 4:30 for a time of creative building.
The Book Club meets on Mondays at 4 P.M. and we are currently reading “Beneath a Scarlet Sky” by Montana author Mark Sullivan.
The library will be closed Monday, January 20 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
The library board of trustees will hold it regular meeting Wednesday, January 29, 4:15 P.M. in the meeting room.
