Elizabeth A. "Bisser" Stifarm

Elizabeth A. "Bisser" Stiffarm, 47, passed away at her residence. Wake services began at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2020, and her funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2020, all at the Fort Belknap Agency Community Center. Burial followed in the Stiffarm Family Cemetery. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Bisser was born on June 26, 1972, in Fort Belknap to William and Marlene (Horseman) Stiffarm. She was raised in Fort Belknap, attending Flandreau Indian School and graduating from Harlem High School in 1993. "I got this!" She began working for the Fort Belknap Indian Community in the Education Department and then for Highway Safety as a clerk.Her most recent job was as a waitress in North Dakota. "Fire in the hole."

She loved kids, and nicknamed everyone she was close to. She was an outgoing, upbeat woman who loved to laugh and be crazy with her daughters, family and friends. "Tore up from the floor up." Bisser's favorite pastimes were driving around, listening to music, especially Stony Park and the Chiniki Lake Singers, and visiting people. "I'm Bisser Stiffarm, I ain't scared." When she was younger, Biss was a fancy dancer, traveling to Pow Wows all over. Her favorite snacks were Dr. Pepper and Reese's. Bisser loved her daughters, and she was a wonderful mother, putting her children first. She was also an avid Harlem Wildcat fan. "Stiffarm, Horseman, Warrior"

She was preceded in death by her father, William Stiffarm; brothers, Duane Stiffarm and Jayde Stiffarm; uncles, Buzz and Joseph Stiffarm, Sr .; and mother-in-law, Betty Jean LaMere.

Biss is survived by her daughters, Collette Stiffarm of Havre and Taylor Stiffarm of Fort Belknap; grandchildren Treyton Mount, and Braiylee Shayde, Sequoia, Joanne and Baby Boy Stiffarm; significant other, Paul "Pooka" LaMere; mother, Marlene Stiffarm of Fort Belknap; siblings, Marsha Cochran, Shawn (Gustavo) Drago, Diana, John (AnnMarie Cantrell), and Coleman Stiffarm, and Melissa Horseman; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
