Montana Seed Show InstaPot Contest

So did you get a new Instant Pot for Christmas or a gift this past year? Do you have a recipe you just love to make in it, that turns out good? We would like you to enter the Instant Pot contest at the Montana Seed Show on Thursday March 12th at the Harlem High School Cafeteria.

2 Divisions: People’s Choice and Judges Choice

There will be 2 prize moneys paid. No other places will be paid.

1st Place: Judges Choice $150

1st Place: People’s Choice $150

Prize money will be donated by the Montana Seed Show. Winner or winners must attend the Montana Seed Show Banquet on Saturday night of the Seed Show to receive prize money – No exceptions.

Pre-registration would be nice but not required. There will be a People’s Choice bag for people to vote for the best entry for each competitor at the designated voting table.

The Montana Seed Show will provide a table and plastic table cover in your serving area. If you want a particular spot you should get there early as spots are first come, first serve.

Any Instant Pot recipe is acceptable. Each contestant must prepare 1 recipe on site in the Instant Pot. Extra recipes can be prepared ahead of time and kept warm for sampling servings to the public. Please prepare to serve samples to 50 people. Contestants are responsible for supplying all of their own utensils and products relating to their Instant Pot submission. Please bring an extension cord. Must include recipe card with entry. Allow yourself sufficient time to prepare recipe and have ready to serve the public by 6:00 p.m. Spoons, bowls or plates and water will be provided by the Montana Seed show for use in serving food to the public. Contestants must give a sample of their entry to the superintendent at 6:00 p.m. for the judges.

Each contestant is responsible for policing and cleaning up area at the end of the day and removing all their items from the area. No personal items shall be allowed to remain after the close of the Cook-Off.

Judging: In this competition no one knows the identity of the cook. Score cards will be based on the following characteristics: Appearance: Must be appealing, Flavor, Palatability, Texture, Color – the submitted entry should look appetizing.
