The library is now in Phase II under Montana’s reopening guidelines. We are open to the public with certain restrictions:

1. If you are sick please do not enter the library.

2. Practice good hygiene.

3. It is strongly advised to wear a mask.

4. Practice social distancing.

5. Each patron has a limit of 30 minutes in the library.

6. Only 2 patron computers are available to adults for business or educational use.

7. All toys, blocks, puzzles, etc. have been removed from the children’s area.

8. The meeting room is not available for use.

9. When browsing please place any materials you do not wish to check out on a special book truck.

10. Curbside, home and mail delivery is still an option.

The library staff continues to sanitize materials and surfaces.

Summer Reading begins this week with the theme “Imagine Your Story.” A modified program is planned for this year. No registration is necessary. A weekly Storytime in the Park will be held Tuesday mornings at 10 A.M. for children of all ages. Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and each family must bring a blanket to sit on throughout the Storytime. Each child will be given a make & take craft to complete at home.

Children ages 0-Kindergarten will receive prizes for the number of books read. Children may earn a certificate for a small ice cream for 25 books, an Italian soda for 50 books, and personal pizza for 75 books.

Children is grades 1-8 will earn prizes for minutes read. For 200 minutes they will receive a certificate for a small ice cream, for 500 minutes a certificate for an Italian soda, and for 1000 minutes a personal pizza.

Each time a prize is earned the child’s name will be entered to win a grand prize LEGO set at the end of July when Summer Reading concludes.

Teens in grades 9-12 as well as adults may also participate. For each book read their name will be entered to win a $50 gift card at the end of the program.

Participants at all levels may keep track of books or minutes using a paper and pencil or the READsquared app. Contact the library for information concerning READsquared.

The Book Challenge for June is to read an original or retelling of a fairytale. Contact the library if you have completed May’s Book Challenge.
