Hello God, it's me, Mara ---- Don't Rush Me

November 11, 2020

Relaxing day with bit of snow, MORE SNOW is on the way.

So, we’ll just wait, putter a bit; shovel another day.

Twould be such fun if girlfriends came, but they’d have to fight ice!

However, they moved out of town; memory of them is nice.

We could think back some years ago, when two gals paid a call.

Of course, that day, there was no snow, for it was early FALL!

Now those two gals, are all alone, but they know how to share,

Their hubby’s left, gone on ahead, these gals know how to care.

“Play us a song, sheet music’s there; and we will sing and dance!

This Autumn day gives us some time, so, ‘C. J’., now’s your chance!”

We had such fun, then baked a bit; had cookies with our tea.

But ‘time’ sped on, too soon they left, they’d stop again, when free.

Then now this week, snow did arrive, did shovel snow a bit.

It was plumb COLD, with bit of ice, we’d rather sit and knit!

Today - more snow, what a surprise! Did ‘snow’ man check the net?

So, clear the walk, stack snow by door, almost worked up a sweat!

The snowplow chap came round the bend, he is one busy guy.

He starts his day way in the dark ‘fore sun shines in the sky!

He surely has one huge ‘plow’ CAT; he doesn’t waste much time.

It sure was fun watching him plow, his ‘CAT’ turned on a dime!

Don’t rush me now, there’s stuff to do, it’s time to plan ahead.

Sort through old cards, file recipes, or maybe mend bedspread.

We know You, Lord, have plans for us; for hope and future[1], too.

To prosper us and not to harm, and someday be with YOU.

Love, Mara.
