The Montana Big Game regular season concluded the last weekend of November, but with so many successful youth hunters we have had enough stories to carry us into the middle of December.

This week we recognize the successful hunt of Britt Powell. Britt, 13, is a Chinook Junior High seventh grader. While hunting with his Dad, Cody south of Chinook on November 22, Britt expertly fired one shot from his 6.5 Creedmoor to fill his Cow Elk tag.

"It was fun! I enjoyed it a lot and I will definitely put in for an elk again next year," said Britt

Congratulations to Britt for completing a successful hunt this season.

It has been a great year for us covering our local youth hunters as we were able to share the stories of so many successful hunts this fall. If we missed anyone that would like to be included in our coverage, it's not to late. Please send your information to bcjpictures@itstriangle.com. Thank you for all the pictures we received.
