The Blaine County Journal News-Opinion - We've Got The County Covered

Blaine County Library

December 23, 2020

Blaine County Library will be closed Thursday December 24th and Friday December 25th in observance of Christmas.

Stop in and checkout a Christmas book from the December display table. The stories are usually quick reads and are a great way to get into the spirit of the holiday and forget about what’s going on around us!

Although there have not been very many movies released lately, we do have several new ones available for checkout. Ford vs Ferrari, Bill and Ted Face the Music, and The Secret Garden are available. Mulan, The Reason, The War with Grandpa and Tenet should be available next week.

Youth Programs have resumed at the library with safety procedures in place to keep staff and students safe. We will have programs during the Christmas break, so if you have a bored child, send them to the library! Monday, December 28th we will show the movie Prancer at 3:00 p.m. It is rated G and runs for one hour and 43 minutes. Everyone is welcome to attend. Masks are required for everyone age 5 and up and space will be limited. Please call 357-2932 to reserve a spot. Tuesday will be Story Time for ages 6 and under at 10:30. After School Hangout for grades 5 and 6 will be Tuesday at 3:30. Thursday is LEGO Club for grades Kindergarten and up. Masks are required for anyone age 5 and over during all programs. Hand washing will be required upon entering the building. There will be social distancing where applicable. There will be no food or drinks during programs.

In addition to the hotspots we have available for checkout, we now have 2 iPads available for a 14-day checkout. The iPads were paid for by the Montana State Library using CARES funds and will be a permanent part of our collection.
