'Beeter Golfers Sending 7 to State C in Bozeman, May 18-19

The Class C Boys and Girls State Golf Tournament will be played at the Riverside Country Club in Bozeman, Montana May 18-19. The Chinook Sugarbeeters have qualified seven for the State C and they are: (L-R) Senior Crystal Hofer, senior Ethan MacLeod, senior Erik Pula, junior Braden Eoff, senior Benton Elliot, senior Hailey Bell.
The Chinook Boys and Girls Golf teams concluded the regular season this past Thursday by hosting their own invitational. The 'Beeters will now turn their attention to the Class C State Tournament to be held at the Riverside Country Club in Bozeman, Montana, May 18-19.
As of press time 61 boys and 62 girls have qualified for the tournament according to the MHSA website. Their may be a few additions following regular season tournaments that were played on Monday.
Included in the field are seven Sugarbeeters, four boys and three girls. In Class C golf a to qualify for the team event, three individuals have to have qualified and thus both 'Beeter teams will compete individually and as a team.
Returning to the State Tournament for the boys are senior Ethan MacLeod, junior Braden Eoff. Back on the big stage for the girls are senior Hailey Bell and senior Crystal Hofer. Competing for the first time at the state tournament for the boys will be senior Erik Pula and senior Benton Elliot. Sophomore Morgan Friede will make the trip for the first time on the girls side.
MacLeod finished third at the Chinook Invitational going out with a 47 and coming in with a 46 for a 93. Pule shot a 46-50 96 to finish in a three way tie for fourth. Eoff was in that group as well with 47-49 96. Bell was second for the girls with a 47-49 96 while Hofer was third scoring a 51-49 100. Friede finished fifth with a 58-53 11. Elliot was the last Sugarbeeter to qualify for the state tournament turning in a marked round of 49-50 99 this past Thursday.
