Photo Contest Deadline Looms

July 7, 2021

Anyone wishing to submit an entry in Triangle Communications' 2021 Photo Contest has two days to get those photographs entered. The final day for entries, which must be submitted on the Triangle website, is Friday, July 9. Entries are limited to two per person.

This contest is open to members and member dependents of all ages who subscribe to Triangle landline services. One grand prize of $200 and five runner-up prizes of $50 will be awarded. Award winning photos will be featured on the 2022 covers of the Keeping You Connected magazine.

In order to qualify, a photograph must meet the following criteria:

• Depict the scenic or abstract beauty of the Triangle service area,

• Be previously unpublished,

• Meet high resolution standards with a minimum of 300 dpi and a minimum of 1500 pixels on the longest side.

Furthermore, human subjects, trademarks, commercial names, and advertisements may not appear in any contest photo.

Triangle reserves the right to disqualify incomplete entries or entries that do not meet the criteria. Anyone submitting an entry agrees to give Triangle complete, royalty-free publication rights to the photo.

Triangle employees, board members, immediate family, and others living in their household are not eligible to participate in the photo contest.

All valid entries will be posted on Triangle's Facebook page by July 16 for First Round Voting, which will close on July 30. The top twenty photos from that voting will proceed to Second Round Voting and be published in the September/October 2021 issue of Keeping You Connected. The top ten from the magazine voting will go to Final Round Voting at the Triangle Communications Annual Meeting in October.

After being cancelled last fall because of the volatility of the pandemic and the increase in COVID cases throughout the State of Montana, the Annual Meeting of Members will be held this year on October 9 in Havre.

This photo contest provides an opportunity to share the beauty of the Hi-Line and the talent of the photographers who live in the place we call home.
