This year we will be offering a movie on Fridays after school is dismissed and all school aged kids are welcome to attend. We will start the movies at approximately 12:45. Movies will run 90 minutes to 2 hours. We are hoping that providing this service will help families deal with the early out on Fridays. We will have the movie titles posted on Facebook, in the paper and on our website, with the run time each week.

“The Personal Librarian” is a remarkable novel about J. P. Morgan’s personal librarian, Belle da Costa Greene, the Black American woman who was forced to hide her true identity and pass as white in order to leave a lasting legacy that enriched our nation, from New York Times bestselling author Marie Benedict, and acclaimed author Victoria Christopher Murray. “Not a Happy Family” by Shari Lapena is a twisted family saga, where everyone is keeping secrets-even the dead. “Rabbit Hole” by Mark Billingham is a novel of suspense tracing a series of murders in an acute psychiatric ward. “The Women’s March” by Jennifer Chiaverini is an enthralling historical novel of the women’s suffrage movement inspired by three courageous women who bravely risked their lives and liberty in the fight to win the vote. In “Class Act” by Stuart Woods Stone Barrington takes down old and new enemies. “Billy Summers” by Stephen King is a thrilling new novel about a good guy in a bad job. Billy Summers is a man in a room with a gun. He’s a killer for hire and the best in the business, but he’ll do the job only if the target is a truly bad guy. And now Billy wants out, but first there is one last hit. Billy is among the best snipers in the world, a decorated Iraq war vet, a Houdini when it comes to vanishing after the job is done. What could possibly go wrong?

You will see a new face at the library. Elle Puckett recently joined our staff as the library clerk. Elle comes to us with substantial library experience, so she will be able to help patrons with just about any need that may arise. We welcome Elle to our staff.
