The Book Club’s new selection is “The Book of Secrets” by Elizabeth Joy Arnold. You may pick up your copy until October 15 with the first discussion on October 18, 4 P.M. in the library meeting room.

Involve the whole family in programs available at the library. Storytime for little ones ages 0-5, along with parents or caregivers, is held each Tuesday morning at 10 A.M. Focusing on early literacy Storytime features stories, songs, rhymes, and play.

After School Squad meets every Wednesday at 3:30 for elementary school students. The children are involved in STEAM activities including science, technology, engineering, art and math.

The whole family is invited to Lego Club on Thursdays at 4:30. Get your creative and engineering juices flowing! Preschool children must be accompanied by an adult.

The library will be closed Monday, October 11 in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

The Book Challenge for October is to read a book where weather is an important part of the plot or a weather-related nonfiction book.

The library has resources available for local educators to check out. These include a Native American trunk, two OSMO creative kits, a NASA STEAM trunk, and during October a giant map of Montana. Contact the library for more information.

Catherine Coulter’s newest FBI thriller is “Vortex.” Agents Sherlock and Savich are both dealing with investigations that involve powerful figures from the past.

During the month of October you are invited to “Buy a Bag O’Books.” Used books in the Reading Room are on sale for only one dollar per grocery sack.
