The library board of trustees will hold their monthly meeting today, November 17, 4:15 P.M. in the library meeting room.

The Book Challenge for November is to read a book by an Indigenous author. We have several titles on display to assist with your selection.

The Book Club, a book discussion group for adults, is currently reading “Education” by Tara Westover. We meet on Mondays at 4 P.M. in the library meeting room.

The library has mobile hotspots, iPads and a laptop available for check out to register users in good standing for at least one month prior to checkout. In order to check out one of these devices a patron must be at least eighteen and sign a lending agreement.

The library will be closed Thanksgiving Day, November 25. We will be open Friday, November 26.

Two new inspirational novels are “The Seeds of Change,” the first installment in the “Leah’s Garden” series by Lauraine Snelling and “The Beginning” by Beverly Lewis.

If you are looking for some recipes for your Thanksgiving meal check out the new cookbook by Ree Drummond “The Pioneer Woman Cooks Super Easy.”

Marcia Muller is the author of “Ice and Stone,” a Sharon McCone mystery. The bodies of two Indigenous women are found in the northern California wilderness. Although there have been a string of similar crimes in the area, law enforcement rules the deaths isolated incidents. Private investigator Sharon McCone is hired by the organization called Crimes against Indigenous Sisters to go undercover in a town filled with lies and corruption.

“Down Range” is a Garrett Kohl novel by Taylor Moore. Undercover DEA special agent, Garrett Kohl, is called back from Afghanistan to his home turf of the Llano Estacado region of Texas where a band of criminals are terrorizing the community including his family.

Two new nonfiction titles are “Peril” by Bob Woodward and Robert Costa and “World War C: Lessons from the Covid-19 Pandemic” by Sanjay Gupta, M.D.

Other suspense novels include “Choose Me” by Tess Gerritsen and Gary Braver, “Striking Range,” a Timber Creek K-9 mystery by Margaret Mizushima, and “Marked Man,” a Joe Gunther novel by Archer Mayor.

Story Time for children ages 0-5 is held each Tuesday morning at 10 A.M. Grade school students are invited to attend After School Squad on Wednesdays at 3:30 P.M. Lego Club for all ages meets on Thursdays at 4:30 P.M
