JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL SEASON COMES TO A CLOSE

December 8, 2021

The Junior High Boys team were fun to watch throughout the season. They were a young team and learned a lot for future Tornado basketball. They are back row L-R: Coach, Dalton Cornell, Brady Zellmer, Avery Fox, Jake Brown, Landon Hickel, Joey Trautman, Ty Beck, and Manager, Meridian King-Snider. Front Row: Hudson Simons, Preston Egbert, Colten Jorgenson, and Willie Krass.

The Junior High teams of Turner School came to a close this past weekend as they competed in the 9C Junior High Tournament in Gildford. Both teams had a good season and have no reason to hang their heads. The boys were coached by Dalton Cornell while the girls were coached by Darci Ammen.

The girls found themselves competing for the championship game on Saturday and ended up taking the second place honors, against Saint Judes Forty Niners. The 8th graders will now move onto the Varsity level of playing for the next season. For the others, they will learn and grow for their season again next year.

The Second Place Conference Junior High Basketball team is L-R: Coach Darci Ammen, Natalie Richman, Bridget Reed, Holly Grabofsky, Ali Doyle, Abby Grabofsky, and Meridian King-Snider. Front Row: Savannah Heilig, Hannah Van Voast, Izzy Van Voast, Piper Fox, and Manager Cassidy Grabofsky. Congratulations on a great finish to the season. We look forward to next season.
