Blaine County Library

March 9, 2022

Thank you to everyone who stopped in and filled out a heart for “Love Your Library Month!” Sylvi Harwood and Julie Finley were the lucky winners of our Love Your Library drawing.

March is Women’s History Month. We have a display of books celebrating Women’s History and one celebrating Montana Women. We also have a green book display for the month of March.

We have 3 new movies ready to go this week: King Richard, American Underdog and Encanto. Fans of the Crescent City series will be happy to know the newest book, “House of Sky and Breath” by Sarah Maas has arrived. “Looking for Leroy” is a romance by Melody Carlson. “Girl in Ice” by Erica Ferencik is a suspenseful thriller. “Greenwich Park” by Katherine Faulkner is also a thriller.

We would like to remind patrons about some of the services available free of charge with your library card. MontanaLibrary2Go allows patrons free access to downloadable audio and eBooks as well as magazines. All you need is a device that connects to the Internet and your library card number. Instructions for using this service can be found on our website. If you have been utilizing this service using the Overdrive app, you will soon need to download the Libby app, as the Overdrive app is being phased out. If you need help accessing this service give us a call or bring your device into the library and we can get you set up.

Another service available at the library is the ability to checkout hotspots. You must have a library card for a minimum of one month and be in good standing to checkout a hotspot. Hotspots have a 2-week checkout period.

Did you know that if you are looking for a book that is not available in our library, we can do an Interlibrary loan for the item? We will do our best to get what you are looking for, whether through ILL or purchase of the item.
