In the good old summertime stop by and visit your library! Take advantage of all the services we offer as well as the comfortable cool surroundings. There are magazines and newspapers as well as a coffee bar in the reading room. Families can come and spend time in the children’s area. There you will find wooden blocks and train set, magnetic tiles, a computer with children’s games and activities, puppets, puzzles and of course wonderful books! We offer free wi-fi, patron computers, and other devices. If you need a place to hold a meeting or gathering talk to us about using the meeting room. Your library is here for you.

The “Oceans of Possibilities” summer reading program is in full swing. We encourage everyone to keep reading. Children may earn certificates from local businesses as they read. Teens and adults may earn chances to win a $50 gift card for each book they read. Summer programs include Summer Storytime for ages 0-5 and their parents/caregivers on Tuesdays at 10 A.M. Elementary students are invited to join in Summer STEAM each Wednesday at 1 P.M. All ages are welcome to join in Lego Club on Thursdays at 3:30.

The library board of trustees meet today at 4:15 in the library meeting room.

If you have completed June’s Book Challenge to read a book that features water be sure to notify the library so you name may be entered to win a gift certificate from a local business. July’s Book Challenge is to read a book featuring a baby!

David Baldacci has written “Dream Town.” Aloysius Archer is in LA where he is hired by Eleanor Lamb, a screenwriter in dire straights, fearing for her life. Then a dead body turns up in her home and Eleanor disappears. Archer launches an investigation that takes him to Las Vegas, Hollywood and the darkest corners of Los Angeles where the cops can be more corrupt than the criminals.

“When She Dreams” is by Amanda Quick. Maggie Lodge is assistant to the reclusive advice columnist known as Dear Aunt Cornelia. Maggie hires private eye Sam Sage to track down the person blackmailing Cornelia. Sam and Maggie are attracted to each other but both have hidden secrets.

As the pair discovers someone impersonating Cornelia at a psychic dreaming conference and a murder takes place, a web of blackmail and murder pulls them in.

Chris Pavone is the author of “Two Nights in Lisbon.” Ariel Pryce wakes up in Lisbon to discover her husband is gone. There was no warning, no note and he is not answering his phone. After finding no answers Ariel is desperate, and the only person who can help is the person she least wants to ask.

Two new inspirational novels are “A Time to Bloom” the second in the Leah’s Garden series by Lauraine Snelling and “Long Way Home” by Lynn Austin.

Other new titles include “Countdown to Midnight” by Dale Brown, “Nightwork” by Nora Roberts, and “Smile Beach Murder” by Alicia Bessette.
