Blaine County Library Board of Trustees will hold their regular monthly meeting Monday July 25th at 4:30 p.m. in the library meeting room.

We have one non-fiction book available this week. "From Savvy Saver to Smart Spender: How to Pick a Tax-Wise Retirement Withdrawal Strategy" by Daniel W. McDonald will guide you through implementing a retirement withdrawal strategy.

We have four thrillers ready for checkout. In "The 6:20 Man" by David Baldacci a cryptic murder pulls a former soldier turned financial analyst deep into the corruption and menace that prowl beneath the opulent world of finance. The lone survivor of a brutal family massacre must uncover the awful truth about the fateful night that left her forever marked in "The Girl Who Survived" by Lisa Jackson. Detective Elise King investigates a man's disappearance in a seaside town where the locals and weekenders are at odds with each other in "Local Gone Missing" by Fiona Barton. On the edge of the Everglades, an eerie crime scene sets off an investigation that sends two agents deep into a world of corrupted faith, greed and deadly secrets in "Danger in Numbers" by Heather Graham.

There are just over 3 weeks left to turn in time logs for the Summer Reading Program. If your children have not signed up for the Summer Reading Program yet, there is still time to win a prize. For every 2 hours read, kids can enter their name for a prize. There will be a prize for Preschool/K students, and 4 prizes for grades 1 through 8. High School students and adults will be able to enter a drawing for gift certificates to Rads, Bikini Coffee, and The Creamery for every book they read.

The movie Monday July 25th will be Back to the Sea Monsters. It is unrated and run time is 1 hour and 13 minutes. Beat the Heat Movies are at 1:30 on Mondays. Hangout for 7th and 8th grade students is on Mondays from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesdays at 10:30 is Story Time for ages 6 and under. Tuesdays at 1:30 is our regular Summer Reading Program for school aged kids with activities. Hangout for 5th and 6th grade students will is held Tuesdays from 3:30 –4:30 p.m. Wednesdays we have a Story Walk by the pool with take home crafts. Every other Wednesday we have Teen Scene from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursdays we have LEGO/STEAM Club from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Accelerated Reading tests are now available at the library. Points earned during the summer are added to the student's record in the fall. Encourage your child to take part in the Summer Reading Program to prevent the Summer Slide. Programs will run through the end of July. Kids will have until August 12th to turn in time logs.
