Greetings From the Senior Center!

We had a great week here, at the center, with lots of new people participating in our activities and wonderful lunches, which our cooks, Candice & Karla are making each day.

We are still in the early stages of forming a CORNHOLE league, as well as a BILLIARDS league. We are also talking about forming a card group & teaching a new game, called Lambsey. This is a new game to many, but is somewhat along the lines of Rummy. Please call and let us know your interests. 357-2648

We are so very grateful to Jim & Judy Stegmeier, for making & donating a BEAUTIFUL set of CORNHOLE boards! Thank you, Thank you! When you see them, please let them know that they are appreciated.

Shirley MacKenzie donated a large bulletin board, which has been re-trimmed by Ken Schubert & is now hung with new information available to all who visit. It also includes Mary Pyette’s wonderful photos. John & Dona Clay have helped to clear out many old books from our library & now that area is all ship-shape! Thank you to Shirley, Ken, Mary, John & Dona.

We are hosting a PIE SOCIAL on Sunday, July 30th from 2:00-4:00 and would love it if you would stop by & socialize.

Cribbage is Tuesdays at 1:00, Bingo is Thursdays at 1:00 & the Kitchen Band is on Fridays at 10:00.

Brad Taylor has been named our Senior of the Year! Congratulations Brad! You have been playing enjoyable music for the people here for many years & we appreciate you!

Caramel Rolls & Plain Cinnamon Rolls are made fresh, each Thursday morning, at the cost of $1.50 per roll or $15.00 per dozen. Please call by 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday & order! They can be picked up by 7:00 a.m. on Thursdays.

Steve Edwards has informed us that on Wed., August 2nd at 1:00 p.m. Sam French, Museum Director, will be here at the Center sharing Evelyn Cole’s history of art that dates back to the 1950’s, with works that she did for the Girl Scouts as well as many of her other works that are still around.

Please call by 9:00 a.m. if you are able to join us for lunch! This allows our cooks to prepare for all of our friends & neighbors.
