Robert Jacob Plumage

Robert Jacob Plumage, at 22, a resident of Spokane, WA passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2024 at his Spokane home. Robert was born on January 30, 2002 the son of Jesse Joe and Laurel Gene Kuuleiloke (DeRego) Plumage.

Robert was raised in the community of Mountlake Terrace where he attended school in Snohomish County and Shoreline, WA. He was a gifted athlete and successfully competed in a wide variety of sports including football, basketball, LaCrosse, track, and cross-country. As a boy, he rode countless miles on his bicycle with his friends and enjoyed many pickup games in the neighborhood. He loved being outdoors and looked for any reason to be where he could feel the sun on his face and breathe the fresh air. Robert graduated in 2020 from Scriber Lake High School in Edmonds, WA. Following high school, he was limited in work opportunities due to the COVID shutdown. Robert worked in a local restaurant for a brief time and spent time in Montana where he worked alongside his brother. He eventually returned to Western Washington where he attended to the growing needs of his father's decline in health. He would deeply grieve his father's passing and with the love and encouragement of family, he found renewed energy as a student of the Renton Technical College. He completed his education and moved to Spokane where he began working for Advanced Builders. Robert enjoyed his work in the residential construction industry as a framer. He saw the fruits of his labor grow daily as the homes grew in structure from the ground up.

He was a vivacious young man who was always in motion. Spontaneous, energetic and charismatic in character, Robert was never still and lead by his "lets go do this" approach. He was most at home outdoors where he hiked, fished, camped, swam and soaked in nature glory. He even dabbled in to a bit of rock climbing and would take pause, momentarily at the docks end, while waiting to pull in the daily catch of crabs. Robert played both the guitar and bass, learning from his father and self-taught as well, he could run the neck with rock songs from the 80's on Robert had a strong entrepreneurial spirit and began internet flipping items from shoes to Legos while in middle school. He hoped to someday build his own house. He was an endearing son, and a tremendous help to his mother's recent move to Chewelah.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Plumage.
