Lee (Harold) Miller

Lee (Harold) Miller, 85, of Chinook passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 14, 2025 in the comfort of his family due to a long battle of pulmonary fribrosis. Lee was born March 14, 1940 in Havre; he was the oldest of three born to Harold and Christine (Hofeldt) Miller.

Lee was a man of faith first and was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church of Chinook, MT, being both baptized and confirmed at Zion. Lee attended grade school at Harlem Elementary School and graduated in 1958 from Harlem High School. Lee attended college at Montana State University for Ranch Management. On November 3, 1962.

Lee married AnnaRae Olson at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Havre. They enjoyed farm life west of Harlem on the "Make Believe Farm" until moving to Chinook in 1986. After moving to Chinook, Lee worked for the Department of Agriculture until his retirement in 2003.

Together Lee and AnnaRae raised six children Russell (Terri) Miller of Sparks, NE, Lynette Nussbaum, Leann (Mitch) Haider, Arcelia Berger, Eric (Amber) Miller, and John (Amanda) Miller all of Chinook, MT. Lee's greatest joys in life was his faith, family, fishing, and farming/gardening. He loved making memories with his family, making sure he made it to every baptism, birthday, graduation, and family reunion.

Holidays were always spent at Lee's. He always said that the greatest gift was being surrounded by family. Lee took great pride in his farming and gardening and if he wasn't out in his yard, a note would be found "Gone fishing".

Lee is survived by his six children; 11 grandchildren Paul (Kelli) Kleinjan, Jake (Maren) Berger, Danyel Haider, Christopher (Sydne) Haider, Laura Nussbaum, Lacey Berger, Marissa Berger, Martin Nussbaum, Blake Miller, Jorie Miller, and Greysen Miller; five great-grandchildren Montana Kleinjan, Axel Kleinjan, Teague LePard, Arlo Kleinjan, and Cooper Haider; two siblings Fred (Sandy) Miller of Harlem, MT and Sharron (Jesse) Parks of Conrad, MT; and numerous nieces and nephews.
