I Remember

I will remember you

Even when the sky is blue

Though the storm has ceased

You remain in my heart.

I can recall your smile

Even through the while

New faces flood my way

And yet, I see you still

I hear people say your name

But it’s not the same

When you aren’t here by me

To acknowledge the address

I miss you so much

I ache for one more touch

You’ve been gone for a time

Yet I still expect you to walk through the door....
