HAVRE, Mont. — The Bureau of Reclamation’s contractor, NW Construction Inc., will close access to traffic on Fresno Reservoir Road, across Fresno Dam on Monday, September 22 through Friday, September 26.
The temporary road closure is necessary to complete asphalt paving on the crest of the dam, as part of the Fresno Safety of Dams Modification Project. Travelers must seek alternate routes, north and south of the dam during the closure.
Fresno Dam, completed in 1939, is located on the Milk River about 15 miles west of Havre. It is owned and operated by Reclamation.
