October Awards Bestowed at Meadowlark Elementary

On Thursday, October 30, several students at Meadowlark Elementary School received awards. Recess Award, Mountain Mover Award, and Principal's Award winners were announced, while Students of the Month and Star Readers were also honored. In other distinctions, a Golden Plunger Award went to the cleanest bathroom.

"We are so proud of all of our students – their hard work and the incredible progress they are making!" Principal Danelle Gibson remarked.

Winners of the Recess Award who showed respect and good sportsmanship on the playground were Callie Barber, Skye Llante, Brody Olson, Montana Morsette, Quinn Fetter, Beatrice Harwood, and Tel Schmitt.

For making improvements academically, behaviorally, or socially Naya Kelley, Collins Langford, Kevin Caballero, Cohen Bridle, Lillian Wymore, Jaxton Metcalf, and EmMarie Eggleston won Mountain Mover Awards.

Students of the Month who exhibited outstanding effort, behavior, and academic performance for October were Zyon Silva, Beatrice Harwood, Greysen Miller, Harper Zellmer, Reign Smith, Harper Crane, and Caden Barber.

Celebrating students for showing determination when faced with challenges; for demonstrating leadership and helping others, perhaps by setting a positive example and demonstrating self-control and a positive attitude, the prestigious Principal's Award went to Clay Elliot, Jenny Elliot, Skye Llante, Natalee Niederegger, Elouise Dalton, Macey Reed, and Carson Fisher because they best portrayed respect for school, self, and others.

Finally, Star Reader Awards were bestowed on Sylvi Harwood, Brynn Brennan, Clay Elliot, Greysen Miller, and Bannen Stroebe. In the Accelerated Reader program, these readers earned a star after accumulating 100 points towards meeting their reading goals.

Not to be forgotten, the boys' bathroom in the west wing was designated as the cleanest, thereby winning the Golden Plunger Award.

Gibson expressed pride in these students and their accomplishments.
