Marlene M. Molyneaux-Hensley

Marlene M. Molyneaux, 70 of Havre, MT, passed away peacefully at Northern Montana Hospital on Tuesday January 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Marlene (Mary Marlene) was born on September 7, 1955 in Havre, MT, to Wayne and Lila Molyneaux. She was a devoted Mom, Gramma, and Great-Gramma. During her younger years she lived in several places all over the state and recently even bragged about a short stint in Oregon. She finally settled down in Havre where she remained until her passing. Most of her life she worked as a cook and held various other jobs including babysitting her grandchildren.

Marlene loved elephants and giraffes and had quite the extensive collection. She was an excellent seamstress and in the last couple of years started making Barbie doll clothes again. This was something that brought her joy and over the years she has made well over 1000 outfits! Her love language was food. She loved feeding other people and was known for her homemade bread and frybread. Marlene's favorite pastime by far was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a special bond with each one of them and they would often go over just to "hang out" with Gramma. Gramma cherished every one of those visits and looked forward to the next one.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents and step-dad Richard Tow; daughter, Chanette Lucinda; and brothers, Richard, Daniel, Edward, and Terry.

She is survived by her children, Crystal Anderson and Sheldon (Mikel) Molyneaux; grandchildren Cole, Chelsey, Zane, Geoffrey, Tristan, Olivia, Lila and Shelby; great-grandchildren Wesley, Aurora, Ellie Jo and Beau; and sister Cheryl Ellen Molyneaux.

Please join us for a celebration of Marlene's life this Saturday from 1:00-3:00 at Great Northern Fairgrounds Community Center. This will be casual. There will be a potluck dinner, and we would love for you to all share the many stories we know you have from over the years. Marlene was a jeans (now leggings) and t-shirt person, so please come as you are.

Memorials can be made to The Friends of the Havre Animal Shelter or directly to Holland and Bonine Funeral Home to help defray costs. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
