You know, dear Lord, Kathi popped over to share about a short visit she’d had with her out-of-state grandkids. She was pretty sure they didn’t know a thing about buying a shovel or checking ANYTHING IN their car, let alone waxing a car in OUR kind of winter weather as their weather was always warmer than our North Country weather.
She laughed and said it had been a fun time for or WITH them making Snow Angels, and them wondering WHERE their mittens were. They had fun making a snowman, throwing snowballs, plus sledding down their kind-of-steep hill, admiring the skies; then remembering Granny said to thank the Lord for His creation; Sara Ann looked heaven-ward and said, “It’s beautiful here Lord, thank YOU!”
Before all that happened, they wondered about boots, and mittens, then Mary asked; ‘Grandma, do you have an extra Scarf, my neck is COLD over here at your house.’
Billy wanted to know why the neighbor boy, ‘Charlie,’ had a top hat on, and if that was what kids wore over here, where was one he could wear...then more laughter.
Kathi chuckled, then said that there were shovels and a broom in the garage, so, before Grandpa gets home from work, how about they shovel a pathway from the street to the garage; they seemed delighted and they actually DID a good job of clearing the driveway for their Grandpa.
The neighbor kids had made a snow fort and had invited her 3 grandkids over to see AND play with them in the fort. The 6 of them had a blast!
Sara Ann had a camera, so she took some pictures, as their friend’s, way down SOUTH, would not believe the stories they would tell – so she took some pictures of them playing; what fun they had in the snow at Grandma’s place.
Kathi smiled and said, “I had a great time with my 3 Grandkids. Thanks for listening.” .
Love, Mara
