On January 23, Zurich Elementary School hosted their second quarter Accelerated Reader celebration. Students who had met their individually established reading goals participated in a STEM activity.
Seventeen of Zurich's nineteen students celebrated achievement with a maze activity. For their STEM challenge, they created a maze according to criteria and then used straws to try to get a ping-pong ball through the labyrinth. To serve as mentors, the older students were paired with the younger ones.
