We've Got The County Covered

Chinook Senior Center

Hello From the

Chinook Senior Center

Earlier today, Jack Mattingly and Brandon Nissen came in to explain a bit about the recently formed Sugarbeeter Foundation, which includes several others as well as Jack & Brandon. Jack shared that our high school gymnasium floor is in need of replacing. It is original to 1964 and has been resurfaced so many times, that is no longer an option. It appears that the cost to replace it is a staggering nearly $350,000.00. The purpose of the Foundation is to help to further the many necessary things that are important to keep our schools in usable form. The Sugarbeeter Foundation can be found on your Facebook page.

The Daffodil season is here and Shore’s Floral is doing a wonderful job of getting them all out to us for a mere $10.00 per bundle. We have them adorning our table, as usual. This is a very good cause. Not only are they bright & cheerful, they are a sign of spring. Much of the money goes into the Cancer fund. I know that every single one of us has been affected by Cancer, so get your Daffodils.

Our wonderful people from 1st Bank of MT came on March 12th to give a FRAUD presentation. Cheryl & Melissa did a wonderful job of enlightening people about how NOT to become a victim! PLEASE be safe and careful. NEVER give any information out to ANYONE, regarding your Social Security or your Medicare. NEITHER ONE OF THEM will ever call you for your information, EVER, under any circumstances! Your grandson is not in jail and in need of money and you NEVER send money to anyone who is stating that if you send them money, they will send you more. UGH! These are all ploys to steal your belongings.

Easter is nearly upon us and as we gather to celebrate the Risen Lord, let’s all be kinder to one another, as our Lord would wish. As you gather with loved ones and neighbors, please remember WHY we are celebrating Easter. Not one of us could ever give the gift that has been given to us.

If you are in need of commodity food supplementation, please contact Ginger at our Center, to see if you meet the qualifications.

If you are in need of food assistance, please also reach out to Ginger for some brief paperwork to get this in place for you.
