Nearly one hundred people gathered at the Chinook Senior Center on Friday, March 27 to join the group of seniors celebrating their birthdays that month. According to Director Ginger Hansen, counting the meals delivered, the Center prepared for over one hundred diners that day, given the popularity of the menu.
In the south-east corner, a pastel archway shaped by muted pink and sage green balloons and a gossamer-looking backdrop provided a stage for Elaine Campbell, Roger Fischer, and Brad Taylor who shared music. Other Easter-related decorations set a springtime theme while guests enjoyed a meal reminiscent of Thanksgiving: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, and yeast rolls. For dessert, a lemon cake with raspberry filling completed the luncheon.
Following the celebration, many people remained behind to play pinochle.
