Shannon Bonney, a Wildland Firefighter with the North Central Montana District Office of the United States Wildland Fire Service, invited third through sixth grade students from Bear Paw, Chinook, Cleveland, Hays-Lodgepole, Turner, and Zurich schools to partake in Wildfire Education Day. Held at the Blaine County Fairgrounds in Chinook on Wednesday, April 29, the event began with an opening ceremony at 9:30 a.m. on the east side of the Commercial Building.
